His remarks came during a discussion on ethanol blending and sparked a sharp political confrontation within the House.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">The minister\u2019s critique centered on what he termed the unfulfilled promise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to double farmers&#8217; income. &#8220;When Modi came to power, he said he would double farmers&#8217; income. So many years have passed since he came to power, but the problems of the annadatas (food providers) remain unresolved.
