Bengaluru<\/strong> \u2014 The All India Milli Council (AIMC) marked its 33rd Foundation Day on Saturday with a large gathering of scholars, legal experts, community leaders and public representatives at Devraj Urs Bhavan, Vasanthnagar. The central theme of the event, \u201cJustice Delivery by the Courts and Constitutional Rights of Minorities in India,\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/span> set the tone for a wide-ranging discussion on legal safeguards, civil liberties and the responsibilities of democratic institutions.<\/p>\n

Presiding over the ceremony, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rehmani<\/strong>, Vice President of AIMC and President of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, stressed the need for stronger public awareness on constitutional protections.

Keynote Address Calls for Judicial Accountability<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The keynote address was delivered by noted Supreme Court senior advocate Prashant Bhushan<\/strong>, who highlighted the urgent need for transparency and reforms in the justice system. Bhushan, founder of Judicial Accountability & Reforms (CJAR), underlined how timely judicial interventions can protect vulnerable communities.
\u201cA democracy survives when its institutions are fearless and independent,\u201d Bhushan said. \u201cCitizens must feel confident that the courts will protect their rights without delay or discrimination.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
