The event, themed *Plan, Develop and Ascent*, convened entrepreneurs, academics, and policy voices for a wide-ranging dialogue on the nation’s development trajectory.<\/p>\n

A central theme of the summit was the potent role of startups in addressing India’s complex issues. Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, who conceptualized the summit, articulated a vision where entrepreneurship and social good converge.<\/p>\n

Prof. Rekha Jain of IIM Ahmedabad underscored the critical role of educational institutions. \u201cInstitutions give you a culture of openness where you are allowed to fail, learn and grow,\u201d she remarked, pointing to the need for a supportive environment for innovation.<\/p>\n

The discussion also clarified that capital alone is not a guarantee for success. Dr. Ravishankar Gundlapalli, Founder of MentorCloud, noted, \u201cIt is not the funding but the fundability that lifts a business.\u201d<\/p>\n

Panelists identified India’s vast domestic market as a key advantage. \u201cIndia is one of the fastest-growing ecosystems. Scale and population are major strengths,\u201d said Joydeep Dutta Roy, Executive Director of Indian Overseas Bank. Akhilesh Yadav invoked the philosophy of Vasudev Kutumbakam, asserting that India’s identity is built on mutual respect and affection. In a pointed critique, he addressed the controversial use of bulldozers in some states. \u201cA bulldozer has no mind of its own. It moves according to the key and steering. The question is whose hands are on them,\u201d he said, adding that courts have repeatedly criticized such actions as unconstitutional.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on recent political developments, Yadav commented on the Bihar election results, noting the visible popularity of Tejashwi Yadav and the Mahagathbandhan’s positive agenda focused on jobs and development.
