The hopeful turning point came during discussions held this morning (October 15, 2025, 11:00 AM), which saw the state government agree in principle to a <\/span>1% separate reservation<\/span><\/b> under Category A, the establishment of a <\/span>dedicated development corporation<\/span><\/b> for the 49 castes, and the announcement of a <\/span>comprehensive economic package<\/span><\/b> for their upliftment<\/span>. The final process and implementation details are set to be determined in a crucial meeting scheduled for the first week after Diwali in Bengaluru<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The struggle began on October 2, when nearly <\/span>600 representatives and artists from 59 nomadic castes<\/span><\/b> arrived in Delhi<\/span>. At a meeting held that same evening at Ambedkar Bhavan, representatives of all 59 nomadic communities unanimously resolved: <\/span>“We will not leave Delhi until a clear decision comes from the government”<\/span><\/b>. The breakthrough followed the intervention of K. Raju<\/b>, AICC in-charge for Dalit, Backward, and Minority Affairs, who requested B.K. Hariprasad to mediate<\/span>.
