Indian Hospitality Industry Embarks on Ambitious Digital and Green Transformation<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Bengaluru, India<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) has unveiled a comprehensive roadmap to future-proof the nation\u2019s hospitality sector, placing digital transformation, sustainability, and a major push to reduce food waste at the core of its strategy for 2047.<\/p>\n

The ambitious plan, announced in the lead-up to the 55th FHRAI Annual Convention, aims to redefine hospitality standards as India approaches its centenary of independence. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and the Tourism Department, Government of Karnataka.<\/p>\n

Recognising the urgent need for future-ready solutions, the federation will prioritise enabling hotels and restaurants to adopt cutting-edge technologies for enhanced guest experiences and operational efficiency. Concurrently, it will champion the widespread adoption of green practices, renewable energy, and eco-friendly infrastructure. A significant pillar of this strategy involves implementing structured frameworks and forging partnerships to minimise food waste and encourage circular economy practices in kitchens nationwide.<\/p>\n

Convention to Chart the Course to 2047<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scheduled from September 18th to 20th, 2025, at the Conrad Bengaluru, the convention themed \u201cFutureScape 2047: Redefining Hospitality for a New India\u201d is expected to draw over 1,500 delegates. The gathering will include hoteliers, restaurateurs, investors, policymakers, and global experts.<\/p>\n

The event will be inaugurated by the Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri Siddaramaiah, on September 18th. Union Ministers, other Chief Ministers, and senior government officials are also expected to be in attendance.<\/p>\n

Deep Dives into Critical Industry Themes<\/strong><\/p>\n

The convention will feature expert-led knowledge forums and panel discussions designed to tackle the sector’s most pressing challenges and opportunities. According to the Chairman of the Organising Committee, K. Ravi, sessions will explore a range of critical themes.<\/p>\n

These include\u00a0\u201cPrivacy is the New Luxury,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0focusing on cybersecurity and data integrity;\u00a0\u201cThe Gastronomic OS,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0which will look at redefining food for identity and innovation; and\u00a0\u201cBeyond Contactless,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0a session on designing intuitive, human-centered technology. Other key topics are\u00a0\u201cSustainability & Growth,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0which will address balancing innovation with environmental responsibility, and\u00a0\u201cInvestments & Opportunities\u201d<\/em> to guide future funding.<\/p>\n
