Mega Expo in Bengaluru Offers Scholarships, Guidance and Loan Support<\/h3>\n

Bengaluru, August 16:<\/strong> Karnataka\u2019s flagship Study Abroad<\/em> initiative has attracted an enthusiastic response, with more than 5,000 students registering to explore opportunities for overseas education. The program, launched through the Karnataka Vocational Training and Skill Development Corporation (KVTSDC) under the Department of Skill Development, aims to make global education accessible across social and economic backgrounds.<\/p>\n

Day-Long Expo at Lalit Ashok<\/h3>\n

To encourage wider participation, the government is hosting a Study Abroad Expo<\/em> at Hotel Lalit Ashok on Sunday, August 17. The event brings together over 60 international universities showcasing courses, scholarships, and career pathways tailored for Karnataka\u2019s students.<\/p>\n

Financial institutions have also stepped in to ease access. Public and private banks are offering education loans on competitive terms, with Karnataka Bank committing special student-friendly packages.<\/p>\n

Equal Access to Global Education<\/h3>\n

Highlighting the government\u2019s vision, Dr. Sharanaprakash Patil, Minister for Medical Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, said the initiative was designed to break financial and social barriers.<\/p>\n

\u201cStudying abroad is no longer a privilege reserved for the wealthy. With our government\u2019s initiative, even students from economically weaker backgrounds can now pursue higher education overseas without financial burden. This is the first-of-its-kind initiative in India, making global education accessible to all sections of society,\u201d Dr. Patil said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Beyond Admissions: Continued Support Abroad<\/h3>\n

Unlike private consultancies that limit their role to admissions, the Karnataka government promises ongoing support to enrolled students even after they leave the country. Assistance will extend to welfare, academic progress, and legal aid.<\/p>\n

The expo also emphasizes transparency by eliminating intermediary costs. Students will receive free guidance on every step\u2014from choosing universities to navigating post-departure formalities\u2014ensuring they are not burdened with agency fees.<\/p>\n
