Samsung Shortlists 40 Semi-Finalist Teams for \u2018Solve for Tomorrow 2025\u2019 Innovation Challenge<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Young innovators from 15 states, including remote regions, to receive mentorship, funding, and resources to develop tech-driven solutions for societal impact<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bengaluru, August 12, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Samsung India has announced the 40 semi-finalist teams for the fourth edition of its youth innovation contest, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow<\/strong>, spotlighting grassroots problem-solvers from across the country. These teams, selected from a nationwide pool of entries, will advance to the next stage of the competition, where they will gain access to mentorship, prototyping facilities, and innovation platforms to refine their ideas.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s semi-finalists come from 15 states<\/strong>, with notable representation from smaller towns and remote districts such as Cachar (Assam), Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh), Mahabubnagar (Telangana), Durg (Chhattisgarh), and Sundargarh (Odisha).<\/p>\n

Four Themes for a Changing India<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The 2025 contest invited entries under four focus areas:<\/p>\n

    AI for a Safer, Smarter, and Inclusive Bharat<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The Future of Health, Hygiene, and Well-being in India<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Social Change through Sports and Technology for Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Environmental Sustainability through Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The shortlisted concepts tackle a range of pressing issues\u2014from AI-powered air quality monitoring<\/strong> and biodiversity conservation<\/strong> to clean water access<\/strong>, food waste management<\/strong>, and e-waste reduction<\/strong>. Other notable ideas include gamified learning platforms for underserved students<\/strong>, personalised coaching apps<\/strong>, sports-based therapies for children with autism<\/strong>, and AI-enabled early detection tools for lung cancer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Voices from the Programme<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    \u201cWe are excited to announce the Top 40 semi-finalist teams of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025. These young innovators, including those from Tier 2, Tier 3 cities, and remote regions, are using technology to solve real societal challenges,\u201d said SP Chun<\/strong>, Corporate Vice President, Samsung Southwest Asia. \u201cTheir ideas reflect the incredible potential of India\u2019s youth to drive meaningful change. As they move into the next phase, we remain committed to supporting them with mentorship, resources, and a platform to turn their ideas into real-world impact.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Dr Nikhil Agrawal<\/strong>, Managing Director of FITT\u2013IIT Delhi, added:
    \u201cThis year\u2019s approach focused on regional representation, and it is clearly reflected in the range and depth of shortlisted ideas. These young innovators have the potential to shape India\u2019s future start-up ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n

    The Road Ahead: Innovation Bootcamp & National Pitch<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    The semi-finalists will soon participate in an Innovation Bootcamp<\/strong> at IIT Delhi, featuring training by experts from industry, government, and Samsung R&D. They will receive structured prototyping support<\/strong> from IIT Delhi mentors and alumni from previous Solve for Tomorrow editions.<\/p>\n

    Following the bootcamp, teams will present their ideas at a National Pitch Event<\/strong>, where a jury will select 20 finalists to progress further.<\/p>\n

      First launched in the United States in 2010, Solve for Tomorrow<\/strong> now operates in 68 countries<\/strong>, engaging more than 3 million young people worldwide<\/strong>. The programme is part of Samsung Electronics\u2019 global CSR vision, \u201cTogether for Tomorrow! Enabling People\u201d<\/strong>, aimed at equipping youth with skills, education, and opportunities to lead future innovations.<\/p>\n
