Karnataka Launches Statewide “Drug-Free Karnataka” Campaign to Combat Substance Abuse<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Bengaluru, August 2, 2025<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 In a concerted effort to tackle the rising menace of drug abuse, the National Livelihood Mission (NLM) has launched a comprehensive\u00a0“Drug-Free Karnataka Campaign”<\/strong>\u00a0across the state. The two-month initiative, running from\u00a0August 1 to September 30, 2025<\/strong>, seeks to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse through community-driven programs, with a special focus on women\u2019s self-help groups (SHGs).<\/p>\n

The campaign, implemented under the\u00a0Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana<\/strong>, brings together multiple government departments to address the social, economic, and health consequences of drug addiction.\u00a0P.I.
