Bengaluru, May 2025:<\/strong>\u00a0A total of\u00a08,635 pilgrims<\/strong>\u00a0from Karnataka commenced their sacred Hajj journey this year, with Bengaluru serving as the primary embarkation point. The pilgrims departed in\u00a027 flights<\/strong>, with over\u00a08,000<\/strong>\u00a0taking off from\u00a0Kempegowda International Airport<\/strong>\u00a0and the remaining from neighboring states.<\/p>\n

CM Siddaramaiah Calls for Communal Harmony<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Chief Minister\u00a0Siddaramaiah<\/strong>, addressing the inaugural Hajj flight ceremony, emphasized the importance of\u00a0unity and equality<\/strong>\u00a0among all communities.<\/p>\n

“Living like children of one mother is the best contribution we can make to society. Muslims, Hindus, and Christians must see each other as brothers and sisters. Only then can we achieve true harmony,”<\/em>\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n

*”We conducted a\u00a015-day program<\/strong>\u00a0at Hajj Bhavan, including training sessions and a\u00a0Hajj Walkathon<\/strong>\u00a0to prepare pilgrims for rituals in Makkah,”*\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n

A team of\u00a051 Hajj inspectors<\/strong>\u00a0stationed in Saudi Arabia ensured seamless coordination, assisting pilgrims with\u00a0accommodation, food, and logistics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“We received\u00a011,000 applications<\/strong>, but\u00a02,600 were cancelled<\/strong>\u00a0due to various reasons. The remaining\u00a08,635 pilgrims<\/strong>\u00a0were accommodated efficiently,”<\/em>\u00a0Ahmed added.<\/p>\n
