The institution cannot afford the challenges posed by foreign citizenship,\u201d stated a representative of the Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n

The board expressed concerns over Rahmani\u2019s governance style, highlighting that he failed to uphold the institution\u2019s principles and did not convene essential meetings or implement prior resolutions. His lack of scholarly credentials, a fundamental requirement for the role, further added to the decision to remove him.<\/p>\n

In another key decision, the Board of Trustees formally appointed Maulana Muhammad Shibli Qasmi as the permanent Nazim (Administrator) of Imarat Shariah. His appointment had been pending implementation since January 2024, despite prior board approval. Effective March 29, 2025, he will assume full administrative responsibilities.<\/p>\n
